All this antiquing has worn me flat out. We are so far ahead of where we thought we were going to be on our list, we are blown away. But I'm also bummed that I'm not finding some of the things I want. But I've only just started, I've only looked in a few places, so I really need to just slow down And, as since I'm new to this, I have to realize it's not like running in to Target and picking up some lampshades that will work - nooooooo, the antique stores just may not have what you have in mind that day, or the next three.
So I have to be patient. I have a little stuffed turtle attached to my purse - his name is Noah. He is to remind me to be patient. I have a bigger version staring me in the face next to my laptop. They mean well, I know they do. Let me just say we are at a point where we agree to disagree! Kind of where God and I are most of the time - I pray for patience...He gives me more stuff to learn how to be patient. There's something wrong with that picture, me thinks!
At any rate, I'm clearing up clutter here and there from the decorating, and find once again the sewing room is the DANGER! DANGER! WILL ROBINSON area, but at least it's contained. Lots of the stuff is in containers and a result of all the bits I pulled from those magazines during The Migraine Month. Those containers are easily pushed under the sewing tables. And once that is accomplished, I'll be able to start sewing again! That migraine really set me back!
I'm gonna take the day off today. Hubs is golfing, it's nice and quiet, a friend is swinging by for a few minutes this afternoon, but otherwise, I think I'm gonna read until a nap occurs and I will be quite happy about it.
Antiquing is an adventure - and right now I need a vacation!
